Unfortunately in early 2020 East Africa, including Ethiopia, was in the grip of the largest Locust swarms for many years, brought on partly by prolonged heavy rain at the backend of 2019. We came across a swarm during our travels which was interesting from our point of view but not good news for the local farmers. We also spotted another couple of animal species during our travels.
