Our most surprising photographic opportunities came at a couple of camp sites where our guide put out some bones were put out. Remarkably within a few minutes birds of prey were circling over head and even more surprisingly they landed even with our group within 20 yards and not in a hide. The hardest part was differentiating between a Steppe and Tawny Eagle although there was no difficulty recognising the charismatic Lammergeier.
