Oakenhill used to be a good area for Nightjars in the Forest of Dean but the trees are now too tall and dense for the Nightjars to breed. However it is a great spot to get up high and view the Forest of Dean looking towards Parkend, especially in the autumn. Woorgreens, near Speech House, is an increasingly popular spot in the Forest and quite often it is now difficult to find a spot in the two relatively small parking areas.
