The Isle of Coll is well known for its good population of Corncrakes but by the time we visited the island trying to spot basking sharks the Corncrakes had either left for warmer climes or were being very secretive. So we had to make do photographing the views and lovely colourful rocks especially at Craimneach Bay, which fortunately was a 5 minute walk from our cottage.
