A slightly different tack this month with some local flowers. The Bluebells have again put on a spectacular show in the Forest of Dean. Even though the free ranging sheep are back they are not up to their pre foot and mouth numbers and so the Bluebells have a chance to flower.

A Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust Reserve less than a mile away from home always puts on a good display of Cowslips and up to 50000 Green Winged Orchids and this year was no exception. It is a pity the reserve is so small in amongst so much green desert.
