Troops of Baboons were also quite common but rarely came very close to the vehicle. A troop in the Ngorongoro Crater were an exception, indeed many of the animals seemed to be more tolerant there than on the open plains. This male Baboon seemed to be studying the photographers in the vehicle or perhaps he was looking at all the new digital camera gear! When you see their behaviour it is very difficult not to either give them human characteristics or give us primate characteristics.
