As a mainly bird photographer I knew I was going to have to work quite hard for many pictures particularly as you cannot put food out to attract any birds down in the Park.

TRUMPETER SWANS  ON MADISON RIVER

Trumpeter Swans were quite numerous especially along the Madison River but they seemed more wary than I remember them from the Autumn. As soon as we got out of the vehicle the Swans would drift down river on the current and we also didn't see any flying, presumably they were trying to conserver their energy because of the intense cold.
