Being able to listen to the Manx Shearwaters coming in to their burrows at night was one of the highlights during my stay on Skomer Island. The noise they make is unlike anything else I have ever heard. It was difficult trying to photograph the Shearwaters on my own as I had to shine the torch and then try and focus on them. I really could have done with at least three hands.
