LATEST IMAGES - MARCH1

We like to leave a good proportion of our garden in a relatively wild state. This has encouraged the birds especially when we put out food. The last couple of weeks has been mainly spent trying to get the garden back into some sort of order before  spring is too far advanced. A wild corner which gets very little light in the winter has  produced some images lately. We have tried feeding with dried mealworms for the first time and a Blackbird and Song Thrush have found them to their liking. Unfortunately the male Blackbird has decided this area is part of his territory and usually, when the Song Thrush comes for its mealworms, the blackbird appears out of nowhere to chase the Song Thrush away. However, occasionally the Song Thrush manages to feed and gives us time to take some images.
