Formby Point in Lancashire is probably the easiest place to see Red Squirrels in England. It is run by the National Trust and any Grey Squirrels are culled to protect the population of Red Squirrels. They are used to being fed and so will come and investigate anybody sat down in the woods, although they were not very keen on my peanuts! The Squirrels buried some of the nuts which was great for a Jay which seemed to follow them about and then dig the peanuts up when the Squirrels had left.
