We spent a good proportion of our time on Skomer Island by the landing jetty trying to capture images of Razorbills landing. The sun was quite bright at the time and it was difficult under exposing enough to not burn out the whites but still keep detail in the blacks. The 70-300mm IS DO lens was good enough to track the birds although when it clouded over the f5.6 was not quite good enough to provide enough speed to freeze the action.
