LATEST IMAGES - DECEMBER1 We have only seen fleeting glimpses of Redpolls in our garden up until recently. However they have seemed a bit more common over the last few weeks. So I put up our trusty hide on the scaffolding near to where we feed the Goldfinches as I had seen the Redpolls feeding on the spilt Niger seeds. I was surprised and pleasantly surprised to have a Redpoll on the nearby Evening Primrose seed heads within 10 minutes of getting into the hide. Over the next couple of hours a small group of Redpolls made a few visits to the seed heads. REDPOLL ON EVENING PRIMROSE1 REDPOLL ON EVENING PRIMROSE2 REDPOLL ON EVENING PRIMROSE3 |
