Snow Geese winter at Pea Island Reserve on the Outer Banks in North Carolina. There are reasonable photographic opportunities from the car but nothing like the early morning shots so common from Bosque. The Snow Geese at Pea Island seemed to roost and spend much of the day in the same area which fortunately was quite close to the main road. We had one afternoon with great winds but poor light and a morning with great light but winds from the wrong direction, photographers are never happy!
