One of the most unusual sights during our time aboard the Searcher was to see Smooth Tailed Mobulas leaping out of the water. We came across this a number of times especially in the evening when we were treated to the sight of hundreds of these creatures leaping out of the water. It is thought they may do this to stun their prey as the Mobulas hit the water.
