Iceland; we can't get enough of the place. Another trip, same as usual, driving rain, strong winds, bad roads but fantastic scenery and when the light comes good it begs to be photographed. This was my first autumn visit and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of colour and how the colour transformed some familiar sites. Of course there were the waterfalls, some I knew and some new ones. It is easy to get very blasé about them as there are so many spectacular ones but each one has its own character and it is a challenge to try and capture the essence of each one and you could easily spend a week at each one and still feel there is more to record. My first week was with a Northshots group expertly lead by Pete Cairns and then I was joined by Helen for four days on the Snaefellsnes  peninsula. All that was missing was some lovely early and late skies and a good viewing of the Northern Lights. This of course means we will have to go back!
