LATEST IMAGES - PORTUGAL1

Having been to Spain a number of times for bird Photography I often wondered what, if anything, lay over the border in Portugal. So a couple of weeks before Christmas I set off for the Algarve accompanied by all my research about birding the Algarve. The first thing that struck me was the fact that they still have sunshine there, it had apparently been banned in the UK! My week was reasonably productive although I never felt I took any images I was particularly proud of. It is always nice to see large numbers of species that are rare or absent in the UK and those associated with warmer climes.
