LATEST IMAGES - SPAIN1

Images of truly wild Lynx are very difficult to capture, most of them being from chance encounters particularly from Spain. I was very pleased to have a chance of some images courtesy of Wildwatching Spain in northern Andalucía. Their hides are the first commercially available hides specifically targeting wild Lynx. I saw Lynx on all three days I was in the hide and had good photographic opportunities, although only briefly on two of the days. The hides are in front of artificial rabbit 'houses' and the Lynx occasionally walk past as rabbits are their favourite prey. Unfortunately during my visit the Lynx did not spend any time trying to catch the rabbits so the cats were only briefly within photographic range however even to see them was a great privilege. The hides are on a private estate well away from any hotels so accommodation was a bit spartan.
