Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve is a magical place for sea birds and our recent trip to Yorkshire coincided with some fine weather for at least some of the days. Photographing Gannets at Bempton is all about the wind. The first day there was very little wind and no Gannets were flying above the cliff tops. Luckily the next day the wind had increased and  Gannets were flying at eye level and landing on the cliff tops. It was also good to see so many people visiting Bempton, ranging from the dedicated birder right through to young families just enjoying the weather and the birds. Let's hope some of the children are inspired to  become the next generation of wildlife enthusiasts.
