I, like most bird photographers, enjoy trying to capture the birds in flight and I used every opportunity during my stay in the raptor hide to record them. The light was variable but thankfully the birds did fly past when the light was very good. Buzzards came and landed on the perch set up quite close to the hide and towards the end one landed behind the perch and then came straigt towards me and landed on the perch which was great. Unfortunately the Marsh Harriers showed no sign of using the perch.
