After we left Cairns we travelled north to a loge in Julatten. The lodge itself was not as good as we had hoped for bird photography but it was ideally placed to visit many productive areas including Daintree, Mount Carbine caravan park, Emerald Creek and Maryfarms. Around the lodge itself, there were a good selection of Honeyeaters flitting about in the Bottle Brush flowers although they were very difficult to photograph.
