Next on the itinerary after Sani Lodge was the cloud forest Lodge at Tandayapa. We went from the sweltering heat of the Amazon to relatively cold of the cloud forest at around 5,000 feet. We had visited Tandayapa after our trip to the Galapagos in 2016 and thought we were going back to the same Lodge but were surprised when we went to another Lodge at Tandayapa! There was a hide here which we used before breakfast where birds were coming to feed on moths on a white sheet attracted by a light left on all night. Great for the birds but not so good for the local moth population. The light here in the early morning was almost non existent!
