Orkney is rightly famous for its Neolithic history and for the many sites that can be visited. Some like the Ring of Brodgar, Stones of Stennes, Skara Brae and Maeshowe are extremely popular and were very crowded but still amazing to see. Others like Wideford, Cuween and Unstan Cairns are less visited and we found these more interesting as we had them to ourselves and they were free! As this is supposed to be wildlife website we haven't shown many images of the sites but we spent quite a bit of time visiting these and you could easily spend a week just visiting them.
