There were very few Puffins coming ashore by the time we visited Skokholm at the end of July although there were reasonable numbers on the sea. Therefore we were delighted and surprised when a Puffin loaded with sandeels landed right in front of us when we were sea watching at Crab Bay. The Puffin waited a few seconds to have its picture taken and then scurried down its burrow. During our all too brief stay we were treated to hundreds of Painted Lady butterflies adorning the island, a rare sight. We really enjoyed our visit made especially memorable by Richard, Giselle, Alice, Jodie and Will and the other visitors as well as the stunning wildlife.
