As well as Goldfinches coming to our sunflower heart feeder, we were pleased to see a few Greenfinches and a pair of Siskins. Greenfinches are now quite unusual around us but three birds seem to have found our feeder and dominate the Goldfinches on the feeding ports. In some years, especially late winter into early spring, we get good numbers of Siskins in the garden whilst in other years there are none at all, it probably depends on the available food in the Forest. This year we have just had a single pair gracing us with their subtle green hues.
