SAVUTI

Mammals were more difficult to see and photograph at Savuti because of the tall grass that hadn't yet died back as it does in the dry season. We did come across some, especially Black-backed Jackals. We especially like the one asleep with Guineafowl walking behind it, it must not have been hungry or the Guineafowl were playing Chicken!! The Zebra are a different race to the ones we have seen in East Africa with a hint of a brown stripe between the black stripes. We saw very few Wildebeest and certainly not in the large numbers seen in East Africa.
