Black Herons have a unique way of fishing, they stalk as many Herons and Egrets do but then fold their wings round to make a complete circle with them to create shade to which the small fish they feed on are attracted to. The obvious shot is to capture them with their wings fully extended but we liked them better when you could just see the head as they extended or retracted their wings. Many of these shots were taken while resting the camera on the side of the boat which very thoughtfully had a fold up pad to rest the camera on.
