The Isle of Skye is well known as one of the primary landscape areas in the UK and is always worth a visit. Unfortunately during our trip in March we encountered typical Scottish weather with heavy rain on most days and a very strong to impossible wind. Thankfully we did manage to get out on a few days and spent the time exploring less well known sites as well as a fine day around the Old Man of Storr. Surprisingly we also came across some wildlife to photograph particularly in the harbour at Elgol. A very confiding Juvenile Glaucous Gull was a real bonus especially as we only saw it the once at Elgol.
