A big group of Whooper Swans were using the ponds at RSPB Frampton Marshes as an overnight roost site and we were lucky to get a couple of good sunrises to photograph them against as they left to go to their feeding grounds. We positioned ourselves so when they took off we had the very first light coming from behind us which had lit up the high clouds to a gorgeous pink. The Swans then  flew directly into the sun light which gave us completely different images, it was definitely worth getting up early.
