The light, particularly in the late evening, was ideal for photographing the Gulls. The Great Black-backed Gulls in particular let you get close before taking off, usually away from us but occasionally in the right direction. They also seem to have learnt how to get Shearwater chicks out of their burrows and we came across a Gull which had obviously just managed this. Gory watching but nature in the raw.
