When we weren't in Dumfries looking for Otters we went to the RSPB reserve at Mersehead for the Geese. The first afternoon the Geese were close to the main path and reasonably tolerant but after that they seemed to be feeding well away from the paths which was a shame. We did go out to the Solway Firth at dawn hoping for a nice sunrise and the geese coming in to feed from roosting out on the Solway Firth. We got the nice sunrise but most of the geese went the wrong side for the light but thankfully some flew where they were supposed to!
