Norfolk is renowned for its top class birdwatching and many superb bird and mammal photographs have originated from this eastern county. It is a place we have visited many times but have felt we have never done it real justice. As they say if at first you don't succeed try try again. So we had 10 days in March hoping to catch up with the Brown Hares and the high tides at Snettisham RSPB Reserve. Overall we felt we did better than before but you can always do better. The first week we stayed near Docking and had our best time with the Brown Hares. The area had many fields with no hedges so we could photograph the Hares from the car and the crops were low enough not to obscure them. It was a case of getting up early and driving around until we found some Hares in a field and waiting for them to come close. Thankfully we were well stocked up with tea and biscuits which helped pass the time!
