There are many Reserves along the North Norfolk coast but none more famous than Cley. It had been quite a few years since we had been so we took this opportunity to visit Cley especially as it was such a sunny day. The hides nearest the Visitor Centre were busy with people and the birds were not especially close. The main highlight was the long standing Long-billed Dowitcher but it was too far away for any decent photography. We then walked around the Reserve and ended up in the isolated Babcock hide which was fabulous. The light was ideal, the birds were close and there was only one other person in the hide who didn't insist of talking all the time or more annoyingly, trying to show us all their images they, and us, had just taken.
