Skokholm Island is riddled with burrows of Manx Shearwater and during dark nights they make landfall to either change over incubating duties or later in the season feed their young. It is one of the great wildlife experiences to be out at night listening to their haunting and very distinctive calls and  having the privilege to photograph them with flash. Most evenings we went to the West coast to take in the glorious sunsets and try and capture birds against the sunset. The image at the end highlights that wildlife on the Islands is so susceptible to any marine incident with so many tankers sailing into and out of Milford Haven everyday. Let's hope there isn't ever another Sea Empress incident.
