Geladas are entirely vegetarian and they spent a large portion of each day feeding. They were continually in vocal communication with each other so they didn't waste time having to look at the rest of the group to see where they are. This meant they very infrequently looked up so it was difficult to obtain images with any eyes! It was easier when they were on the edge of the plateau in the late afternoon when they spent time grooming each other before they went down onto the cliff face to sleep in caves.
