We spent an interesting couple of hours at Lake Awassa. fish market. Here birds were very tolerant of people as they were feeding off the fish scraps thrown to them. Big lenses were certainly not needed for the Great White Pelicans or Marabou Storks. The locals had cottoned on to the needs of photographers and would throw the scraps into the air for a small 'donation', obligingly counting up to 3 in English as they did so!
