We thought that booking a couple of weeks away quite close to home would be a good idea during the pandemic but just before we left for a week on the coast in North Devon followed by a few days in Somerset, Lockdown 2 was leaked. Thankfully as we were away before the lockdown was imposed we could stay for the rest of the week. The two days of the actual lockdown we stayed close to our accommodation although there were still plenty of people on the beaches. Unfortunately we couldn't go onto Somerset but hopefully we will be back later in the year. We visited a number of beaches on the coast and experienced strong winds, lashing rain and beautiful sunny and calm days all within a week. The beaches themselves were a mixture of rocky ledges leading into the sea making fine photographic subjects and golden sands.
