Harlequin Ducks are a real Icelandic specialty, and during the breeding season they are found on fast flowing rivers. Daniel recommended that we visit Iceland at the peak time to get the brightly coloured males on the rivers. By the end of our trip, the males had all moved to the coast to moult and left the females to get on incubating eggs and rearing the chicks
