During early July many Brown Bears come down to the salt marsh around Silver Salmon lodge to eat the nutrient rich grass and to go out onto the mudflats to search for clams during the low tides. Luckily the weather was good for three days out of the five and we had almost ideal early morning light when the Bears were clamming.
