Wildlife photography is always harder when you are not quite sure what is going to happen and the Gannet boat trip certainly came into that category. Even though Steve gave us a good briefing it is never the same as actually being there yourself. Once the gannets started to dive for the fish the action was fast and furious and there was a brief period where we thought we wouldn't come back with any decent images. Fortunately after a few minutes we both felt we were getting familiar with the Gannets actions before they dived and eventually we were pleased with some of our images even though there were a large percentage that needed deleting. Unfortunately the trip we had booked for the following day had to be cancelled as we felt we would have had more success having had a taster, still there is always next year.
