LATEST IMAGES - BEMPTON5 Gannets normally feed by diving into the sea for fish. When one Gannet dives in then it usually attracts many other producing a spectacular sight. Over the years we have booked a number of boat trips which throw fish into the water which hopefully leads to the gannets diving into the sea at close quarters giving great photographic opportunities. Unfortunately the trips have all been cancelled due to bad weather. When we were organising our trip to Bempton we came across the website of Steve Race who luckily for us had spaces on consecutive days for such a trip. Knowing our track record we booked on both of them without much hope but remarkably only one of the trips was cancelled due to strong winds! The trip we did manage was fantastic and would have been a great experience even without the photographic opportunities. GANNET TAKING OFF FROM THE SEA HERRING GULL WITH FISH FOR THE GANNETS!
