Many of the spots we photographed the Black Bears from were well used by photographers and wildlife watchers and so the bears had become relatively habituated to people at these spots. When the Black Bearssilently appeared out of the forest they very rarely even took a quick glance in our direction which meant we could watch them going about their natural activities without the use of hides.
