Following on from our successful late summer trip to Bempton on the Yorkshire coast I decided to revisit the area in early November. I wasn't sure what would be around at that time of year but was pleased with what I found and photographed. I was especially lucky with the weather as, while the west of the country was getting a real soaking, the Yorkshire coast was enjoying sun and extremely unusual warm November temperatures. At one stage I wished I had packed the sun cream! I had the benefit of local knowledge from one of Helen's work colleagues which was a real bonus and he put me straight on to the black necked grebes in Scarborough harbour.
