The weather was exceptionally kind during my November visit to Yorkshire with temperatures up to 18oC, however the wind was very strong most of the time. On Filey Brigg there was Kestrel that worked its way along the slope every half an hour or so and provided good photographic opportunities. As the wind was so strong the bird was always facing in the same direction when it hovered and luckily the sun was also favourable. This meant I could photograph  the Kestrel either head on or sideways and not as usually happens a rear end shot. Initially I stayed on the top of the Brigg and tried to get close to the Kestrel as it hovered but soon found a path which went down the slope. From here I was more at the same level as the bird and could dash along the path to get closer to it. With the warm weather and a seat to wait on this was very enjoyable photography!
