Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides, is a big island and needs more than the one and a half days we had to do its scenery full justice. A sunset visit to the Callanish standing stones is almost obligatory although there are many more standing stones dotted around the island. Lewis has almost as many beautiful beaches as Harris which are a lot les well known and visited by landscape photographers.
