It's always a thrill to see any young animal but the Polar Bear cubs we saw on our expedition to the pack ice north of Svalbard were in our eyes exceptional. They seemed 'interested' in us and came very close to the ship. When the mother sat down and let her two cubs suckle all you could hear were lots of' aahs and lots of camera shutters going off.
