Giant Tortoises are one of the most famous of animals in the Galapagos and is was a very special moment when we saw our first on the islands. Unfortunately we only saw them once in the wild where the first four images were taken. The rest were taken in sanctuaries and breeding centres. It was probably our greatest disappointment that we didn't see them more times in the wild and didn't get an image of them with the fabulous Galapagos landscape in the background but maybe next time!
