My second visit to the Danube Delta with Saker Tours was in early July when I was a bit concerned many of the birds previously seen would not be around. Fortunately I needn't have worried and the week on the boat, especially adapted for photography, was as productive as last time. One of the highlights must be getting close to nesting Black-necked Grebes. Their red eye is superb and to see them popping up from the weeds looking at us with that eye was fantastic.
