Probably the commonest bird in the Danube Delta during the breeding season is the Whiskered Tern. They take food from the surface unlike the Common Terns which dive for fish. Everywhere we stopped to photograph in the Delta we always seemed surrounded by hunting Whiskered Terns. I am not sure what I am going to do with all my Tern images but it was enjoyable trying to capture them grabbing food from the surface.
