Exit Glacier, just outside Seward, is an easy walk from the car park and you can get up close to it. While the views are great, it is depressing as there are signs all along the approach to the glacier indicating where the leading edge used to be. As you can see from the fourth image, it has retreated a long way back from the 2005 sign. Exit Glacier flows from the Harding Ice Field and there is a long walk up to the ice field. Originally we hadn't planned to get to the top but once we got half way, we couldn't really turn back, especially with the weather being on our side.
