The Matanuska Glacier is a prominent feature on the middle part of the Glenn Highway and can be easily photographed from a number of viewpoints by the side of the road. To get to the glacier face however you do have to pay quite a heavy fee as it is in private hands which seems a bit odd. Needless to say we didn't bother!
